Clearly, I'm Clueless.

I have a question: when did the word "clearly" become the most popular and over-used one in the English language? I've never even used it and I think I'll miss my chance before it becomes what "awesome" was in the 80s.

I don't know why, it just struck me yesterday, watching The View, then CNN, then reading blogs...CLEARLY, it is THE word to use. You can find a logical reason to use it in virtually any sentence. The answer is clear.

I'm guilty. I say it all the time. I have no idea where I picked it up. But it really is an AWESOME word. :)
